Vonets VAR11N-300 Quick Setup Manual Vonets




The Vonets VAR11N-300 is a mini WiFi router that can work as a router, a bridge, or a repeater. It is small, portable, and easy to use. It can provide wireless internet access for your devices, such as laptops, smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, etc. In this article, we will show you how to quickly set up the Vonets VAR11N-300 in different modes.


Router Mode




In router mode, the Vonets VAR11N-300 connects to the internet via an Ethernet cable and creates a wireless network for your devices. You can also connect devices to the LAN port of the router. To set up the router mode, follow these steps:

  • Power on the Vonets VAR11N-300 and wait for about 30 seconds until the WiFi indicator light flashes.



  • Open the wireless network connection on your device and search for the hotspot name of the Vonets VAR11N-300. The hotspot name is the last 6 characters of VONETS_MAC, and the default password is 12345678.



  • Open a web browser and enter [vonets.cfg] in the address bar. You will see the login page of the router.



  • Enter admin as the username and password, and click Login.



  • Click WAN Interface Settings and select the connection method. The default method is DHCP, which means the router will automatically obtain an IP address from your ISP. If you need to use PPPoE, you need to enter your ISP account and password.



  • Click Operating Mode and select the interface mode. The default mode is Ethernet Cable-LAN, Ethernet Interface-WAN, which means the LAN port of the router is connected to the internet source, such as a modem or another router. If you want to connect a device to the LAN port of the router, you need to select Ethernet Cable-WAN, Ethernet Interface-LAN.



  • Click LAN Interface Settings and check if the DHCP service is enabled. The DHCP service will assign IP addresses to your devices automatically.



  • Click WiFi Settings and customize your wireless network name (SSID), channel, security mode, and password. You can also choose to disable the WiFi if you don't need it.



  • Click Save & Reboot to apply the settings and restart the router.




After rebooting, you can connect your devices to the wireless network of the Vonets VAR11N-300 and enjoy the internet.


Bridge Mode




In bridge mode, the Vonets VAR11N-300 connects to an existing wireless network and extends its coverage. It also allows you to connect a device to its LAN port and access the internet via WiFi. To set up the bridge mode, follow these steps:



  • Power on the Vonets VAR11N-300 and wait for about 30 seconds until the WiFi indicator light flashes.



  • Open the wireless network connection on your device and search for the hotspot name of the Vonets VAR11N-300. The hotspot name is the last 6 characters of VONETS_MAC, and the default password is 12345678.



  • Open a web browser and enter [vonets.cfg] in the address bar. You will see the login page of the router.



  • Enter admin as the username and password, and click Login.



  • Click Work Mode and select Device Mode as WiFi Transparent Intelligent Bridge. Click Save & Reboot to apply the settings and restart the router.



  • After rebooting, you will see a scan window that shows all the available wireless networks around you. Select one network that you want to connect to and click Next Step.



  • Enter the password of the selected network and click Submit.



  • The router will connect to the network and show you its IP address. You can also click Advanced Settings to change some parameters if needed.




After connecting, you can use your device to access the internet via WiFi or connect another device to the LAN port of the router.
