Broad Peak (2022)
The first ascent of Broad Peak was made between June 8 and 9, 1957 by Fritz Wintersteller, Marcus Schmuck, Kurt Diemberger, and Hermann Buhl of an Austrian expedition led by Marcus Schmuck. A first attempt by the team was made on May 29 where Fritz Wintersteller and Kurt Diemberger reached the forepeak (8,030 m). This was also accomplished without the aid of supplemental oxygen, high altitude porters or base camp support.[4]

It is funny, but when films are made talking about mountains and climbers, it is just plain scary. One is trying to understand where the passion and (somewhere) borderline addiction from to wanting to summit peaks. On the other hand, one begs the question, how does a human dare survive that mountain to come back and tell the tale?! Temperatures are -40 Degrees Celsius. Being stripped down to the bear size of how fragile your mortality is. It keeps you humble. Nature keeps you humble. It tells you what matters most, what you want in your life. What you love, what you would do anything to stay with forever. Maybe that is what scares me. But it is also something that every climber knows. And wants to be reminded every time they summit a peak.
Broad Peak (2022) Plot Summary and Movie Synopsis:Respected eight thousander Maciej Berbeka led numerous summits and offered guidance as a leader. He struggled to let go of one summit. This narrative emphasizes the passion that a mountain climber experiences when he confronts the mountain and sees deep into its soul, causing him to doubt everything he believes to be true.
To the second-to-last summit, he starts to climb to Rocky Summit. It gives him a feeling of control over the mountain and combined with the intense wind blowing over his head, he feels as though he has reached his goal and reached the peak. He triumphed over Broad Peak. On the radio, he admits to doing it to the leader. He finally completed it.
Part 2: Coming Home to Learn An Uncomfortable Truth. When Berbeka peaks at 5:30 pm, he needs to begin his descent. The weather becomes brutal, and the winds almost throw him off. At 8:30 pm, he finally begins to hack at the snow to create a hole and pushes himself inside a hole with his backpack. He waits patiently until the weather goes quiet. It is hours before it finally does so. The radio remains alive for communication and keeps checking to see if he is alive. Blind in the wind and the dark, he waits it out.
During IBC 2022, we were delighted to present a collaborative demo, result of a teamwork between Spideo and broadpeak.io. As it generated enthusiastic feedback, we decided to team up again, write this blog post and share more about the demo!
Automated linear channel programming is done combining Spideo recommendation technologies with Broadpeak custom streaming solutions. When integrated with dynamic ad insertion, this highly personalized service can also enable a Personalized FAST experience.
Linear channels which use the personalized recommendations are then built and streamed through brooadpeak.io technology. For instance, the image below uses the 2 previous examples in order to generate linear channels for an audience interested in sailing sports and another in winter sports.
On the broadpeak.io side, you need to create your own Virtual Channel using our application. The best way to do it is to create an account and follow the steps of our Knowledge Center to set up a channel. Not much time to create a demo, but still have your boss asking for one? You can use our Postman collection to make it happen within a few minutes.
A veteran winter alpinist, Wielicki made winter ascents of Everest (8848m) and Kangchenjunga (8586m), and climbed Lhotse (8516m) solo in the 1980s. Berbeka and Bielecki also have significant winter experience on 8000m peaks. (Read more about Polish climber's long history of high-altitude winter mountaineering in the March 18, 2011 Feature.)
Zawada approved Aleksander Lwow and Berbeka for the winter attempt, and the two climbers started ascending the peak on March 3, 1988, in alpine style. With good weather, the duo made a summit bid on the morning of March 6. However, Lwow turned around due to exhaustion while Berbeka continued toward the summit.
After holding tight for 16 days, the four climbers ascended to Camp IV on March 4, hoping to catch a weather window the following morning. The crevasse at around 7900m posed a major hurdle between them and the summit. The Polish team successfully navigated the obstacle and summited the peak at around 5:30 in the evening, local time.
A major storm has closed in and overtaken the peak, restricting a helicopter rescue of any kind. Karim Hayyat and Artur Malek climbed back to Camp III to assist in a rescue, if needed. Hayyat even climbed as high as 7700m with no sign of the missing climbers.
Story: Broad Peak starts as Maciej Berbeka (Czop) and his team Aleksander (Glowacki), Andrzej (Sapryk) and Krzysztof (Simlat) are climbing the summit of Broad Peak. When complications occur, Maciej does what he can to remain alive and believes he made it to the peak.
At 8,047m (26,401 ft), Broad Peak is the world's 12th highest mountain and one of the 'easiest' 8,000 meter peaks. It is located on the border of Pakistan and China and has been summited ten times less than Mount Everest and is adjacent to K2. This 52 day expedition provides some of the best of the views in the Karakorum Range.
Dan Mazur has summited Everest, K2 and several other 8000 meter peaks in the Himalaya and Karakoram ranges. He has been leading climbing expeditions and treks in the world's highest mountains for more than 20 years.
French mountain guide Benjamin Vedrines has climbed Broad Peak from base camp at 4,890 meters on the Godwin-Austen glacier to the top in seven hours and 28 minutes, which could be the fastest time for the West Spur route. This is his first 8,000-metre peak. He did not use porters of supplementary oxygen. To descend, he flew from the summit ridge using a paraglider.
Many factors contribute to being able to observe a bruise under normal lighting conditions, including the amount of extravasated blood; location on the body; depth; subject's age; bruise's age; and skin color. When blood is released into the extravascular space, hemoglobin is broken down through enzymatic processes to include bilirubin as one of its byproducts. On spectrophotometric analysis, hemoglobin exhibits the greatest amount of light absorption at a narrow peak of wavelengths around 415 nm, with a secondary, broader peak in light absorption around 543 and 576 nm. Bilirubin has a broad absorption peak around 460 nm. Gross observation of light absorption by these molecules requires the use of alternate light, specific wavelengths which may include the visible (400-700 nm) or long ultraviolet (290-400 nm) spectrums. Generally, light is reflected, transmitted, scattered, and/or absorbed by the skin's surface. Transmitted light can be absorbed and reflected by deeper structures, with longer wavelengths generally having greater skin penetration. Filters (e.g., colored goggles and camera lenses) can then be used to block the reflected light allowing the absorbed light to appear darker by comparison.
Here, we follow a simple, cost effective, and environmentally friendly one step hydrothermal method for the synthesis of nanohybrid material reduced graphene oxide-tin disulfide (rGO-SnS2). Herein, the spectroscopic and structural investigation of SnS2 anchored reduced graphene oxide (rGO) such as UV-vis DRS spectroscopy, photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) are studied. A broad peak observes at 365 nm in UV-vis DRS spectra. Optical band gap energy is calculated using Tauc's plot and the estimated values are 1.96 and 3.91 eV, respectively. Functional groups such as Sn-S, Sn-O, C = C,-OH, C-H, C-O are identified using FTIR which attributes to the successful preparation of nanohybrid material. Structural analysis is done using XRD. XRD result confirms the hexagonal phase of the nanohybrid material and the peak at 2θ = 15.19 confirms the characteristics of SnS2 and a small peak at 2θ = 26.03 indicates the existence of carbon. Interplanar spacing is calculated from Bragg's law. The value is estimated to be 5.82 Å. Average crystallite size of the material is estimated using Scherrer's formula and the value is found to be 28.16 nm. Strain of the material is calculated from Williamson-Hall plot and the value is estimated to be 0.00086. 041b061a72
